Built in 1930 to honor Simón Bolívar at the first centenary of his death, the "Altar of the Fatherland" is one of the modern buildings of the Quinta de San Pedro Alejandrino. The work, of Republican s.. Дивитись далі »tyle, was designed by the architect Gustavo Santos Caballero and directed by the architect Manuel Carre. The neoclassical sculptures of the interior, were elaborated by the artists Augusto Rossi and Helmeregildo Luppi. The Altar of the Fatherland was finally inaugurated in 1942 during the presidency of Dr. Eduardo Santos.
