In the middle of the plane, an image of the Eagle established as the national emblem of the Republic of Poland and the inscription: NARODOWY / BANK POLSKI; on the right of the inscription, the letter: W, in the left corner, vertically, the number: 20, made up of digits at a right angle. Below the Eagle, the inscription: Warszawa, 10 stycznia 2024 r. (Warsaw, 10 January 2024); below it, the inscriptions: Prezes (Governor) and a signature and Główny / Skarbnik (Chief Treasurer). Along the left edge of the banknote, vertically, a notation of the numbering. In the left bottom corner, markings for the blind – vertically, the embossed number: XX made up of digits at a right angle. On the left of the number 20, inscription: DWADZIEŚCIA ZŁOTYCH (twenty złoty). In the background of the banknote, the inscriptions: 1 VIII, 1944, and the symbol of Fighting Poland.
The back of the note: on the left, silhouettes of insurgents with rifles against the background of a fragment of ruined buildings in Krakowskie Przedmieście Street in Warsaw; in the left bottom corner, the number: 20 composed of the inscriptions: 1VIII1944; below the number, the inscription: DWADZIEŚCIA / ZŁOTYCH (twenty złoty). On the right, a field altar during the mass celebrated by Capt. Rev. Mieczysław Paszkiewicz in the courtyard in Poznańska Street in Warsaw; its background is made up of the inscriptions: 1 VIII, 1944, NBP and the Fighting Poland Symbol, a shield with an image of an eagle, a cross and a flag.
