suspension bar inscribed in Amharic ‘ Unforgettable Achievement’
and dated ‘1933’ (AD1941); the face with a four-pointed star

the reverse plain, stippled; on original ribbon. The origins of the
medal are somewhat obscure but it seems to have been issued
by the Communist ‘Derg’ government in 1981 to mark the 40th
Anniversary of victory over Italy.
