Jubilee medal "50 years Soviet militia" is made of copper-Nickel alloy and has the shape of a regular circle with a diameter of 32 mm.
On the obverse of the medal depicts a star in the upper beam.. Дивитись далі » of which the hammer and sickle. In the middle and bottom of the star there is a shield with a matte finish and an embossed inscription "50 YEARS". At the bottom of the coin circumference — the relief image of oak branches.
On the flip side of the coin circumference the inscription: "In commemoration of the fiftieth anniversary" in the middle "of the Soviet militia" and the date "1917-1967" and the bottom image is a small five-pointed stars.
Edge of the coin are bordered by a fillet. All inscriptions and images on medals convex.
Medal with eyelet and ring connects to the pentagonal kolodochka, covered with silk moire ribbon blue color width 24 mm. tape five longitudinal red stripes: in the middle — three width of 1 mm each, closer to the edges of two 4.5 mm
